When Anna Lee moved to Nashville to pursue her nursing career, along came Gilmore. He was one of the first people she met in the new city and the easiest date she’s ever been on. Fast forward to Memorial Day Weekend of 2023, Gilmore took Anna Lee on somewhat of a surprise weekend getaway to Saint Pete Beach. A trip to such a stunning place sparked the thought of a possible proposal… Long story short, curiosity killed the cat.

While they were floating out in the beautiful ocean, Gilmore asked her to marry him. It was an instant yes! The ring didn’t even feel important at the moment. When they finished their swim, he pulled out her grandmother’s diamond ring. It was perfect.

The rest of the vacation was so incredible that they extended their time to discover more of the downtown area. This is when they discovered what would be there wedding venue, a historic hotel called The Vinoy. Upon getting home, Anna Lee casually contacted them and was offered a day just six months away. They took it without hesitation.

Their wedding inspiration was classic, old Florida, tropical, with some glitzy accents for the holiday weekend!

“When I put the Harriet Gown on it was the most beautiful item of clothing I have ever seen on myself and at the same time, I felt like I could move and be at ease. The way that it moved and the way the fabric shined with light - simply stunning. I could instantly see it being photographed with the Italian tropical aesthetic of The Vinoy.

Picking the dress helped me to create the rest of the wedding design. It inspired my choices for florals and the decor of the ceremony and reception. All of these things came together to compliment each other, creating a day that was the most beautiful celebration of our love.

Not only was it beautiful but it was the most fun we have ever had. Gilmore and I truly enjoyed every moment of our wedding day and night. I was able to move and dance without a worry in the world. I felt 100% like myself. I can honestly say that my wedding look was my favorite look I've ever pulled off. ”
