Claudia & Fabian

Claudia and Fabian met through mutual friends at a Beer Garden in Munich. At the time, Claudia was living in a small village in Austria, and at the end of the weekend Fabian walked her to the train station and gifted her a bag of his favorite chocolates to enjoy on her ride home. Little did he know Claudia was a major choco-holic!

They soon started dating, and after two years they moved to Zurich together.

With Fabian being from Germany, and Claudia from New York, they decided on the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn for their small, intimate wedding. They both love the city-feel of Brooklyn and thought it wasn’t too scary for their relatives first time in NYC.

They loved their venue’s industrial charm and added pops of color with wildflowers, tapered candles, and long communal tables.

Claudia wore our Prisma Gown and her mother’s hand-made lace veil…

“I found my gown at a fantastic bridal shop, called Hera, in Zurich. I wanted my dress to be on the simpler side because I knew that if I looked back at myself in years to come, I would be annoyed for choosing anything too trendy or overly done. I think AG does a great job at offering modern cuts that seem relevant, but also timeless.

As an underwear designer, I have an eye towards celebrating the woman’s body - I tried to do so with my curvy, short (5’1”!) frame and didn’t let any insecurities drive me away towards doing just that! Another key component was knowing from an early age, I had always wanted to wear my Mom’s intricately hand-made lace veil from her wedding 40 years ago to give me the sense of wearing something of a family heirloom. I have a photo of me wearing her actual wedding dress and veil from when I was around 8 years old, so I knew early on that I would only be selecting a dress if the veil coordinated!”
