Marisa & Ian

Marisa and Ian swiped right on Tinder! Their first date was at a speakeasy, The Dead Rabbit, and they’ve been inseparable since. Ian proposed on their four year anniversary in the privacy of their apartment, before heading to The River Cafe in Brooklyn to celebrate.

We both still say how lucky we are to have found each other and our friends still say how lucky we are that 5 years in we still act like we’re on our first date.

Their wedding took place at Villa Woodbine in Coconut Grove, in Miami, a historic estate that looks as if it belongs in the Mediterranean. Marisa’s inspiration for the details were whimsical garden, timeless and neutral colors, with a pop of colorful florals.

Marisa was never one to dream about her wedding day, so she wasn’t sure what type of gown she wanted…

“I went shopping with my mom, grandma, and maid of honor at the Lovely Bride in NYC and from looking online beforehand 90% of the dresses I wanted to try on were Alexandra Grecco. When I tried on Nerine, the satin silk material is what first caught my eye and made me feel like I was glowing. I walked out into the vestibule filled with natural light, looked in the mirror, and felt like a bride for the first time. That’s how I knew this was the one!”
